Zen Tea Ceremony
Zen tea tasting is not only a physical relaxation and enjoyment, but also a spiritual baptism.
Service Description
Zen tea tasting makes us understand that true self-cultivation and mind-nourishing starts from the depths of the heart. Only when we learn to reconcile with ourselves, and the world can we truly find our own happiness and peace. Come engage in the traditional practice of the Zen tea ceremony at our center. This ceremonial preparation and consumption of tea is designed to bring mindfulness and relaxation, performed by our skilled monks. Participate in a Zen tea ceremony at our center, hosted by our skilled monks or tea masters, it is designed to make you focus and relax, and enjoy a complete sensory and cultural experience. Enter our tea room set up in the Buddhist temple. The layout is simple but elegant, and every detail reveals the Zen spirit. On the tea table, a set of exquisite tea sets are arranged in an orderly manner, as if waiting for a feast for the soul. The monks and the specially invited tea fairies personally brewed tea for me. They were skilled and graceful, and every step revealed their respect for tea and their understanding of Zen. As the boiling water was poured, the tea leaves danced in the pot, and finally slowly stretched out, releasing a rich tea fragrance. I took the teacup and took a sip. I felt the tea fragrance in my mouth and it was endless. This tea seems to contain the essence of heaven and earth, and people are purified and sublimated in the taste. During the tea tasting process, the monks told us the truth of Zen tea. She said that drinking tea is like practicing, which requires meditation, concentration and perception. Every cup of tea has its own unique charm and artistic conception. Only by feeling it with your heart can you appreciate its beauty. Just like the path of practice, you need to persevere and focus on it, so that you can reach the other side of your heart in constant sharpening. Let us sit quietly in the tea room, listen to the teachings of the monks, and taste the charm of Zen tea. At this moment, I seem to be integrated with the world, and all the troubles and sorrows are gone with the wind, leaving only the tranquility and peace in my heart. I realized that self-cultivation does not require cumbersome rituals or profound philosophy, but only needs to find the tranquility and freedom that belongs to you in ordinary life. The Zen tea tasting every Tuesday afternoon at the American Zen Cultural Center made me deeply realize the true meaning of self-cultivation.
